Australia to Hyderabad: Nidhi & Archit's South Indian Wedding

They found each other in Australia, fell in love there, and came home to Hyderabad to celebrate it with everyone they love.

There are some couples you photograph, and then there are some couples whose energy you end up carrying with you long after the wedding is over.

Nidhi and Archit are very much the latter.

They met and fell in love in Australia, thousands of kilometres away from home. And when it was finally time to get married, they came back to Hyderabad bringing their story home to celebrate it surrounded by family, friends, traditions and a whole lot of madness.

And honestly, these two are sunshine.

Probably one of the most fun couples we've ever had the chance to photograph.

Two People Who Make Everything More Fun

You can see it in almost every photograph.

Nidhi laughing before we've even finished setting up a frame. Archit finding some way to make her laugh again. The two of them dancing when nobody asked them to. Hugging, teasing, pulling faces and somehow turning even the quieter portraits into something that felt completely like them.

There was very little we needed to ask them to do.

So we didn't.

We just followed them.

Through the quiet moments before the celebrations, through the madness of the wedding, through people constantly pulling them into hugs and through dance floors where standing still simply wasn't an option.

Before the wedding celebrations began, we spent a quieter day with Nidhi and Archit at Sri Ranganayaka Swamy Temple — wandering through its old stone corridors, dressed in traditional South Indian attire. See Nidhi & Archit’s temple pre-wedding shoot near Hyderabad.

Take your time with this one. Start with the quiet moments and keep going — somewhere along the way, it turns into the wonderfully colourful, chaotic celebration that is so completely Nidhi & Archit.
